This is Boet (meaning Home in Swedish), a stool inspired by the birds’ property among the trees. Increased, protected, carried by way of a strong tree, you see the soft, rounded shape of the nest. The contrast in between materials with different features creates dynamics. Material in different colors indication strength and tone. In the metal pan a soft model of cork to sit on, cozy and welcoming. The nest always is like home. In connection with the design concept regarding Johan & Nystrom’s new showroom throughout Helsinki, we needed a stool with strong persona for the cafe in a substantial and a low product. The old port warehouse, where the cafe is located, is sturdy and heavy within brick and difficult wooden beams. With this particular we have furnished with a lot of color and a combination of unexpected materials, wherever Boet has a natural place. Boet will be shown the very first time at the COUPLICITE exhibition through Maison et Objet in Paris, france 2011.
